A review of heavy-heavy spectroscopy
نویسنده
چکیده
Calculations of the heavy-heavy spectrum present a good opportunity for precision tests of QCD using lattice techniques. All methods make use of a non-relativistic expansion of the action and its systematic improvement to remove lattice artefacts. There was convincing demonstration this year that these methods work and that the associated perturbation theory is well-behaved. Comparison to experimental results yields an accurate value for the lattice spacing, a, a key result in the determination of αs, and (for the first time this year) the mass of the b quark (4.7(1) GeV).

Effective Removal of Heavy Metal Ions Zn2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Cr3+ from Aqueous Solution by Synthetic Superabsorbent Polymer
Heavy metal pollution is propagating throughout the world with the enlargement of industrial activities. The elimination of heavy metal ions from industrial wastewaters has drawn much attention because of the hazardous effects of the heavy metal ions on different organisms. According to these facts, poly (2, 2, 3, 3- tetracyanocyclopropyl) phenyl acryl...

A comprehensive review of fatigue behavior and fatigue design of heavy section wind turbine castings made of ductile iron EN-GJS-400-18-LT is performed. Common metallurgical defects that are affecting fatigue behavior of this material were studied. Review of different researches on quantitative effect of chunky graphite and micro structure on fatigue behavior of EN-GJS-400-18-LT was perform...
متن کاملThe effect of self-absorption correction using internal reference on determining heavy metals concentration by laser induced breakdown spectroscopy
The identification and concentration of heavy metals, which may be so harmful for the body, is determined by the method of calibration-free laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy using a special strategy. First, the plasma temperature is obtained using the Boltzmann plot. Then, a line with an inappreciable self-absorption is considered for each element as the reference. The modified intensities o...
متن کاملRole of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (AM) Fungi in Phytoremediation of Soils Contaminated: A Review
Pollution of the soil environment with toxic materials from fossil burning, mining and smelting of metalliferous ores, disposal of sewage, fertilizers and pesticides, etc. has increased dramatically since the onset of industrial revolution. Application of plants with ability of absorbing heavy metals is a low-cost alternative for eliminating soils from heavy metals. Phytoremediation uses plants...
متن کاملEffect of Co-existing Heavy Metals and Natural Organic Matter on Sorption/Desorption of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Soil: A Review
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), abundant in mixed contaminant sites, often coexist with heavy metals. The fate and remediation of PAHs depend heavily on the sorption and desorption behavior of these contaminants. The sorption behavior can in turn be highly affected by certain soil components and properties, such as soil organic matter (SOM) and the presence of heavy metals. Through rev...
متن کاملReview of Heavy Metal Accumulation in Aquatic Environment of Northern East Mediterrenean Sea Part II: Some Non-Essential Metals
Heavy metals that enter marine environment and remain in the water as well as the sediments are accumulated by aquatic organisms, thus becoming highly good indicators to monitor metal accumulation in the long run. Metals are potentially harmful to humans and most organisms at varied levels of exposure and absorption. Northern East Mediterranean Sea is a crucial region as it is an area, shared b...
